Flowmon Assessment and Adjustment Professional Services (FM-SRV-ADJUST) (“Services”) are designed for engineers seeking a best practice and methodical assessment of an existing Flowmon estate, In addition, the Services are designed to refresh and extend knowledge of the latest Flowmon feature enhancements available, The Services include up to 8 hours of remote English-speaking Progress Professional Services resource time (Sr. Principal Practice Consultant level) to provide you with advice and assistance on any or all of the tasks listed below:
Update Flowmon Solution: Update Flowmon solution including all modules to the current version if not already updated.
Deployment & Monitoring: Check whether the solution is deployed correctly and monitors desired network infrastructure, expected network traffic and applications.
Flowmon System Tuning: Check quality of deployed Flowmon appliances and modules. Verify proper flow export (on Flowmon Probes only) and flow collection, proper configuration of all installed modules and optionally tune system to enhance detection and lower false positive rates. Correct all recognized misconfigurations across the Flowmon solution.
Network Traffic Validation: Ensure Flowmon Collector(s) and Flowmon Probe(s) are ingesting network traffic as outlined in the project scope.
Flowmon Monitoring Center: Ensure all required sources, profiles, chapters, & alerts are defined.
Flowmon Dashboards & Reports: Assess and adjust current configuration of dashboards, widgets, reports, & topologies as required by the customer and outlined in the project scope.
Flowmon Anomaly Detection System: Assess and adjust current configuration of ADS data feeds as limited by the ADS tier purchased and in line with customer requirements. Including ADS maintenance, system, processing settings, and define ADS report chapters.
Flowmon Packet Investigator: Assess and adjust current configuration of Flowmon Collector(s) and Flowmon Probe(s) with the required settings to support FPI functionality. Including FPI recordings and validate successful capture and analysis of network packets.
Flowmon Application Performance Monitor: Assess and adjust current configuration of Flowmon Collector(s) and Flowmon Probe(s) with the required settings to support APM functionality. Configure all required APM administrative settings. Configure APM to monitor HTTP and/or SQL applications as outlined by the project scope. Validate dashboards and widgets are being populated with the required application insights.
Flowmon General Administration: Demonstrate proper use of the Flowmon solution to achieve maximum value. Answer customer questions and ensure the customer is equipped with the knowledge needed to administer the Flowmon solution.
Maintenance Procedures: Demonstrate administering firmware updates, basic troubleshooting, & maintenance procedures.
Flowmon Network Management: Demonstrate flow data analysis, creation of chapters, reports, dashboard and alerts, interpretation of detected events, performance problems, etc.
The Services are subject to the terms and conditions of the Professional Services Agreement set forth at https://www.progress.com/legal (“Agreement”). Service Provider will be the Progress entity that accepts and processes the order for the Services and may be referred to in the Agreement and herein as “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”; Client will be the individual or entity for whom the Services are being ordered and may be referred to in the Agreement and herein and therein as “Client”, “you”, or “your”.
You will have 6 months from our invoice date (please note that if you are purchasing through a reseller/distributor, this will be the date of our invoice sent to the entity ordering the services from us) to make use of the 8 hours of service purchased, and any unused hours at the end of said period will expire. If the 8 hours of service are fully depleted and additional Progress Professional Services resource time is required to assist you with the completion of any of the tasks outlined above, then such additional time will be subject to a separate purchase. A resource will be assigned to the project and will engage during their local business hours’ time zone.
The Services will be delivered by us or our Affiliate remotely unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by an authorized representative of Service Provider or its Affiliate. If we or our Affiliate, as applicable, agrees to provide all or any portion of the Services at your location, you will reimburse us or our Affiliate for any and all actual expenses incurred in performing such Services including travel and living expenses, in accordance with the terms of the Agreement.
