Flowmon’s biggest Czech event introduces latest trends in network monitoring and new mobile app

Press Release The biggest meeting on network monitoring and security in the Czech Republic was held by Flowmon Networks in Prague. On May 27, the company’s customers and partners gathered there to talk about trends in network visibility and to learn about the latest news in the Flowmon solutions.

The annual Flowmon Friday conference is a meeting of network and security experts, chief information officers and other specialists with interest in flow-based network performance monitoring, diagnostics and security. “Next time, we will celebrate there the tenth year of Flowmon’s existence. From a small team we have built a successful, constantly growing company whose products have an impact on the whole industry. Many thanks go to our customers and partners. Thanks to you, we are able to push our solution further and further,” said Rostislav Vocilka, CEO of Flowmon Networks, in the keynote.

The main focus was on the new features of Flowmon and direction of the entire network traffic monitoring technology. In addition, Pavel Minarik, CTO of Flowmon Networks, introduced a brand new Flowmon mobile app available for iOS and Android devices. Thanks to the application, network and security professionals have their networks under control at any time and everywhere.



Flowmon Friday also hosted the experts of the company’s technological partners. Jaromir Pilar from Cisco Systems made a presentation on leveraging networks to control threats and introduced the concepts of network as a sensor and network as an enforcer. The successful implementations of Flowmon across different markets were presented by Milos Nemec from Kofola (Beverages), Aneta Coufalikova from the Ministry of Defence CIRC (Army), Daniel Dvorak from the University of Chemistry and Technology (Education and Research) and Filip Visenka from Slovenska Sporitelna (Banking).

Part of the conference was also The Best Partner Award ceremony. Veracomp was honoured as The Czech Distributor of The Year 2015. The Czech Partner of the Year prize went to Dimension Data, which implemented the Flowmon solution e.g. in Ceske Radiokomunikace, a leading provider of professional telecommunications and ICT services in the Czech Republic. The Japanese company Orizon Systems was awarded as The Best Foreign Distributor of the Year.



The technology partners of the event were Cisco Systems, IBM, Check Point and Novicom. The media partners of Flowmon Friday were the magazines IT Systems, SecurityWorld, ChannelWorld and Reseller Magazine.
