Sales Engineer North America

  • Ability to articulate the technical and commercial benefits, ROI, and/or TCO of our solution

  • In-depth demonstrations of our features during customer and partner meetings

  • Performing technical workshops, webinars, and seminars

  • Creating the proper solution (HW/SW/Virtual/Appliance mix) to meet the customer’s needs

  • Design, implementation and evaluation for proof of concepts

  • Technical support of our customers and partners during the whole sales cycle

  • Documentation of all account activities in Salesforce


  • Detailed knowledge of networking protocols

  • Knowledge of SMB and Enterprise IT environment (Telco or Service Provider experience is helpful)

  • Ability to create and manage virtual compute and networking environments

  • Prior experience with NetFlow, routing, and switching is a big advantage

  • Networking or Cloud certifications are a plus

Other Requirements

  • 5+ years in a technical sales or professional services role with demonstrated success

  • Strong customer / external facing skills both on-line/virtual and in person

  • Ability to read, create, and review technical specifications or RFI/RFPs

  • Ability to work independently and with a local team based in San Diego, CA

  • Travel up to 25% of the time
